It's back to school time and that means it's time for after school snacks! We realize that not every kid is as enthralled with fruit as we Ruma kids were (ok, maybe "enthralled" is a bit strong) so this week we have a quick and easy recipe that will make getting those all-important daily servings of fruit a little bit sweeter! (It even sneaks in a little dairy!)Quick Caramel Apple Dip
You need:
- 16 individually wrapped caramels (unwrapped)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt caramels with water, stirring frequently
- When mixture is smooth, remove from heat
- In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese and sugar
- Fold in caramel mixture
- Serve immediately
