Filming at the Burlington Mall in Burlington, MA, "Mall Cop" (the original title) has been filming this past month. Kevin James stars as a mall cop that attempts to thwart would be burglars at the mall during the Christmas Season. Hence recent mall shoppers have been seeing Holiday decorations at the Burlington Mall lately. Macy's has Christmas lights and a Christmas tree in one of their display windows. Set Decorators created a North Pole Village and a tree of Poinsettia Plants that practically touches the 2 story ceiling. They have closed some stores, (Jasmine Sola) to make room for film equipment and have temporarily taken space from stores that have yet to open. Most of the filming for the Kevin James movie is being filmed at night, but during the daytime the mall is still a buzz of film crew. I went to the Burlington Mall and saw Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling, huge holiday ornaments dangling from the rafters, and some of the film crew using walkie talkies, apple laptops, and sitting in a pit of film activity in front of Macy's.
In my previous blogs, I mentioned that Mall Cop Productions asked Ruma Fruit & Gift Basket World to be a part of the set decorations. Today I was informed that our fruit & gift baskets were prominently displayed in the movie. I do not know all of the details yet, but it appears that Kevin James is chasing the burglars or the burglars may be chasing him around the mall. Ruma Fruit gift baskets are proudly displayed on a mall kiosk and this scene was added at the last minute.

I was just recently in Burlington, MA visiting an aunt who was in Lahey Clinic Hospital (right next door) and one of the nurses told is that an Adam Sandler movie was being filmed at the mall. We asked because we thought it was quite odd that there were Christmas decorations in the parking lot and it was mid April.
It must feel pretty cool that your own products will be proudly featured in the movie! I know I would be so excited! Not many people, especially in the middle of MA can say that. Congrats to you!
